My name is Constance Jones, and I am a San Diego native, an avid reader, and a storyteller.
I’ve recently decided to share my memoir – one that is slightly less sunny than the temperatures of my hometown but no less transformative: a personal story of pain, revolution, and evolution. From a young age, I realized the underrated power and positivity of a helping hand and a kind smile; I also came to the conclusion that the most prevailing helping hand is the one at the end of your own arm – and it is your choice if it will help or hinder you. Extracting myself from the cocoon of a dark past, I feel that my journey has been invaluable in molding me into who I am today. Against all odds, I seized the pen of my fate and wrote my story.
Now I feel that it’s my turn to pay it forward. I seek, through my stories and my philanthropic work, to inspire others to dare to dream and to pursue their potential despite life’s obstacle course. Seize your own pen and write your own story. Sometimes in life, you’ve got to make your own magic.
